If you already have 100%[+] Movement Speed, swap the Movement Speed modifier on TeleportTeleport to Weaken.

Wondering what comes after Level 70? Head to the Paragon Board section to power up the build even further. If you want to see how everything plays out in combat, check out the Rotation and Playstyle section for a quick breakdown.

Sorcerer Class Mechanic – Enchantments

Non-Ultimate Skills can be equipped in the two available Enchantment Slots. A skill must have at least one skill point allocated to it in order to be used in the Enchantment Slot. Skill points that have been granted through gear work as well.

Equip FireballFireball in the first Enchantment Slot to chain explosions when enemies are killed.

Equip TeleportTeleport in the second Enchantment Slot to enable an Evade Teleport for additional mobility.

Season 13 Mechanics

Season 13 does not offer a specific seasonal theme due to the release of the Lord of Hatred expansion. Many new features are available to explore, including War Plans, Talismans, Horadric Cube, Echoing Hatred, and reworked Skill Trees.

Talismans

The Lord of Hatred expansion introduces Talismans as a new character progression system. Equip a Seal and place Charms into its slots for a significant power boost. The ideal Talisman setup for the Fireball Sorcerer is listed below.

  • Prioritize a Legendary Seal with a +1 Charm Slot affix to unlock a total of 6 Charm Slots.
  • Insert all 5 pieces of Habacalva’s Cauldron Charm Set. Prioritize Charms with additional Ranks to Pyromancy Skills.
  • Insert AzurewrathAzurewrath to explode enemies that are Frozen by Frost NovaFrost Nova.

Mercenaries

Once the Den is unlocked during the main questline in the Vessel of Hatred expansion, complete the key quests to acquire each Mercenary. Hire a Mercenary and enlist a Reinforcement in the following setup.

Build Mechanics

The Fireball Sorcerer launches fiery projectiles that explode on impact. FireballFireball excels at clearing groups of enemies with explosive projectiles, combined with its Enchantment Effect that triggers explosions when enemies are killed. These explosions can create a chain reaction that ripples through an entire screen of enemies.

Two Skills of each elemental type are equipped on the Skill Bar to activate Aspect of Elemental ConstellationAspect of Elemental Constellation for a massive 240%[x] increased damage bonus when imprinted on a Staff. Charged BoltsCharged Bolts is only equipped on the Skill Bar to fulfill the requirement for Aspect of Elemental Constellation and should not be cast for any reason.

Aspect of Elemental AttunementAspect of Elemental Attunement is often activated due to the area damage of FireballFireball with decent Lucky Hit Chance, rapidly resetting Ice ArmorIce Armor and TeleportTeleport.

Ice ArmorIce Armor grants a massive Barrier, increased Armor, and Unstoppable. The benefits can be refreshed every second when hitting enough enemies for a significant boost to survivability.

Frost NovaFrost Nova generates Mana and applies Vulnerable to enemies through its modifiers. The Skill can be cast from the Skill Bar or triggered through IgniIgni ThulThul.

TeleportTeleport is an effective Mobility Skill, especially with its Movement Speed and WormholeWormhole modifiers.

InfernoInferno deals significant damage while grouping enemies up for FireballFireball explosions.

Rotation and Playstyle

Use the following rotation to optimize the playstyle:

  1. Cast TeleportTeleport to traverse and/or hit an enemy with it to gain 2 Ferocity stacks.
  2. Group up large groups of enemies with InfernoInferno.
  3. Cast Frost NovaFrost Nova to Freeze enemies and apply Vulnerable, if it is not already triggered by IgniIgni ThulThul.
  4. Spam FireballFireball to deal damage.
  5. Consistently refresh Ice ArmorIce Armor to gain a Barrier and increase Mana Regeneration.
  6. Do not cast Charged BoltsCharged Bolts.

Patch notes for Season 13 have not been provided, as the Lord of Hatred expansion is a major overhaul to Skill Trees and class balance. For a complete overview of Season 13, take a look at the comprehensive season guide.
