Season 8 comes with a few big changes to Diablo 4’s reward systems with the introduction of Reliquaries. A new take on the Battle Pass that gives us more freedom in how we earn and unlock cosmetics.

What Are Reliquaries?
Reliquaries are a complete overhaul of the traditional Battle Pass system. Instead of one long reward track, you now unlock cosmetic items from themed “catalogs” called Reliquaries using the in-game currency: Favor Tokens.
The biggest difference? You choose the order in which you unlock rewards, and you are no longer locked into one preset path.
How to Access Reliquaries
There are two types of Reliquaries:
- Battle Pass Reliquaries: Available throughout the season. In Season 8, there are four:
- Belial’s Return
- Weapons
- Beasts
- Armor
- Event Reliquaries: Appear during special events or collaborations. They work the same way, but are only available for a limited time.

The contents of any Reliquary can be viewed before purchasing or unlocking it. You will automatically have access to one free Reliquary each season (starting with Belial’s Return). Additional Reliquaries must be unlocked using Platinum:
- Belial’s Return (Free) – no Platinum required
- Weapons – 200 Platinum
- Beasts – 500 Platinum
- Armor – 800 Platinum
You can purchase the bundle for all 3 Premium Reliquaries for 1,000 Platinum.
If you purchase the Deluxe Battle Pass Bundle (2,800 Platinum), you also unlock all three Premium Reliquaries and receive extra cosmetics included in the pack.
How to Unlock Items
Each Reliquary is filled with cosmetic rewards like mounts, armor sets, portals, and more. To unlock them:
- Earn Favor Tokens by killing monsters and completing quests.
- Spend these tokens on any item inside any Reliquary you have access to.
- There is no set order: pick what you want, when you want.
You can hold up to 99 Favor Tokens, and any extras you earn beyond that cap will be wasted unless spent. Unspent tokens can carry over to future seasons (up to 99).

Once you unlock everything in a Reliquary, a Bonus Reward becomes available (at no extra token cost). This bonus is shown as an item with a red frame and a star in the upper right corner.
Season 8 Reliquaries
Each Reliquary has its own theme and includes one piece of the Guise of the Deceiver armor set as a bonus reward.

Belial’s Return (Free) | Weapons (Premium) | Beasts (Premium) | Armor (Premium) |
– Town Portal cosmetic – Weapon cosmetics – Horse cosmetics – 200 Platinum – Guise of the Deceiver Gloves (Bonus) | – Weapon cosmetic (non premium) – Weapon cosmetics – Guise of the Deceiver Boots (Bonus) | – Weapon cosmetic (non premium) – Mounts – Mount cosmetics – Pet – Guise of the Deceiver Legs (Bonus) | – Weapon cosmetic (non premium) – Cosmetic Armor Sets for each class – Town Portal cosmetic – Guise of the Deceiver Chest and Helm (Bonus) |
Each reliquary has one non-premium weapon cosmetic that you can unlock using Tokens without buying the reliquary. Fully completing all 4 Reliquaries earns you the entire Guise of the Deceiver transmog set.
Deluxe Battle Pass Bundle

If you want the armor set in advance, there is a Deluxe Battle Pass Bundle for 2,800 Platinum. It includes:
- Instant unlock of the full Guise of the Deceiver armor set for all classes
- Deceiver’s Final Form Wings (cosmetic for each class)
- Orinocta the Owl pet
- Access to all 3 premium Reliquaries (Weapons, Beasts, Armor)
Note: You still need Favor Tokens to unlock each item inside those Reliquaries.
