Blizzard basically just confirmed that Diablo 4 will soon get some long-requested quality-of-life updates – including a proper loot filter, stash space upgrades, and even faster door interactions.
These updates were mentioned during Raxxanterax’s new interview with Diablo 4 devs Colin Finer and Zaven Haroutunian, and the community is already excited about what is coming.
Loot Filter in Development
After months of requests, the developers finally confirmed that a full loot filter system for Diablo 4 is actively being worked on. No exact release window was mentioned yet, but they made it clear that this is one of their current priorities.
A real loot filter will help players manage endgame drops way more easily and reduce the constant inventory clutter that has frustrated players since launch.
More Stash Space “Coming Soon”
The team also acknowledged that stash limitations are still one of the biggest frustrations in the game right now. When asked about stash upgrades, the devs simply said: “Stay tuned.”

That short answer might sound familiar and maybe even a little disappointing at first, but combined with the confirmed loot filter progress, it is a strong sign that stash improvements are in active development too.
Goodbye, Door Frustration
Another small but very much-appreciated change is that doors are finally getting fixed.
Colin and Zaven confirmed that the team is aware of how annoying it feels to get stuck behind them, especially when speedrunning Nightmare Dungeons or The Pit.
Door interactions are now being sped up across multiple patches, and the devs are working on removing what they call “bad friction” – things that slow players down without adding meaningful challenge.
This, too, might sound small at first, but these little changes add up, especially for players pushing high-tier content.
Quality-of-Life Updates Keep Coming
Between the loot filter, stash space upgrades, door fixes, and other gameplay improvements, Diablo 4’s next few patches seem focused on refining core systems instead of only stacking seasonal features. It is a good sign that Blizzard is listening to long-term player feedback instead of only chasing new content.
