<p>A group of Diablo 4 players encountered a strange bug in Season 8 that rendered the Season 8 Pinnacle Boss impossible to complete.</p>



<p>While battling Belial, players managed to lock him outside of the boss room entirely. But that&#8217;s not where the chaos ended! Belial also bugged out and remained stuck beyond the boss room&#8217;s boundary, making it impossible for the party to progress and kill the boss.</p>

<p>Bugs don&#8217;t always need to be serious! This one&#8217;s a bit more on the entertaining side as Reddit user <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Special-Passenger129/">Special-Passenger129</a> shared a clip showing their character endlessly looping a dance emote while standing in the Belial boss room. </p>



<p>For some reason, the player locked themselves into a dance animation right after they defeated Belial. This may be attributed to lag or a specific bug tied to the Season 8 Pinnacle Boss. </p>

Diablo 4 Player Gets Stuck Dancing After Beating Belial


<p>Reddit user <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/gasparmilazzo/">gasparmilazzo</a> has posted the second entry in their Diablo 4 loot-tracking series, showcasing the results of <strong>297 solo boss kills</strong> in Season 8. The run includes five lesser bosses—Varshan, Grigoire, Lord Zir, Beast in the Ice, and Urivar, cleared on Torment IV difficulty.</p>



<p>The post highlights drop rates for GA items, Mythic Uniques, Legendary Runes, and Belial spawns, helping players understand the grind behind the Diablo 4&#8217;s endgame.</p>

Diablo 4 Player Defeats 297 Lesser Bosses Solo in Season 8—Here’s What Dropped


<p>Here&#8217;s one we didn&#8217;t know was possible, as a player managed to come upon a Artificer&#8217;s Pit portal that escaped its frame! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Fishy Entrance</h2>



<p>The supremely appropriately named <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Fun_Investigator_544/">Fun_Investigator_544</a> found a rather strange sight after going AFK in Cerrigar in front of the Pit entrance. They had opened a new round of monster-slaying goodness and had to go do something else. When they came back, it seems the Pit portal was very slowly trying to escape, and it already managed to slip its enclosure in the pillar! </p>

<p>We&#8217;ve actually never spotted this particular bug, so it&#8217;s possible it&#8217;s new to this season. This being the season of lies, it seems fitting. Players already used this to prove those pesky flat-Sanctuary theorists wrong, as the only possible explanation for this is the rotation of the planet! </p>

Caught in the Act: Pit Portal Moves, Trying to Escape Town!


<p>Could Diablo 4 make its way to the Nintendo Switch 2? According to Rod Fergusson, Blizzard is open too the idea, but there&#8217;s one major hurdle too overcome!</p>



<p>Speaking to Gamertag Radio, as cited by <a href="https://www.videogamer.com/news/blizzard-looking-at-diablo-4-switch-2-but-platform-doesnt-suit-live-service/">Videogamer</a>, Fergusson confirmed that Blizzard is considering bringing Diablo 4 to the Switch 2.</p>



<p>&#8220;I think there&#8217;s opportunity there for sure,&#8221; Fergusson said.</p>



<p>He highlighted that both Diablo 3 and Diablo 2 Resurrected are already on the original Switch and will run on the new console thanks to backward compatibility. Given the Switch 2&#8217;s improved secs, performance is no longer the primary concern!</p>



<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s nice the Switch 2 has the performance that can run a game like Diablo 4,&#8221; Fergusson noted.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Live-Service Limitation</h2>



<p>The REAL challenge lies in the live-service structure of Diablo 4. Fergusson pointed out that these types of games have historically had a rough time on Nintendo&#8217;s platforms due to the network and service limitations.</p>



<p>&#8220;Live services on Switch have been a little bit challenging in the past,&#8221; he explained.</p>

<p>The best method is buying them on your main and stashing them. Then, create a new char, do the first Seasonal quest, and complete the rest of the talking part of the quest. Then, unlock the board. Do not open scrolls until the board is unlocked. Then, once you unlock it, open the scrolls and you will receive your <span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://wp.icy-veins.com/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Quest_MiscTrinkets_11.webp" alt="Resplendent Spark"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Crafting Material" data-item-quality="unique">Resplendent Spark</span></a></span>!</p>

Diablo 4 Season 8: You’ll Need 14,750 Spectral Ash for 1 Resplendent Spark


<p>A dedicated Diablo 4 player going by the Reddit handle <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/VeryGooDiS/">VeryGooDiS</a> has reached an impressive milestone and earned <strong>100% of all 660 achievements </strong>in both the base game and the Vessel of Hatred expansion! Despite the colossal effort, Blizzard has not implemented any reward for this achievement!</p>



<p>In a <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/comments/1kn4ono/i_get_100_achievements_in_diablo_4_dlc/">post shared on the Diablo 4 subreddit</a> on May 15, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/VeryGooDiS/">VeryGooDiS</a> announced they had finished every achievement in Diablo 4 including those introduced in the Vessel of Hatred DLC. While this player may not be the first person to earn all achievements, it&#8217;s still a feat that requires tremendous dedication.</p>



<p>&#8220;I already had 100% in the base game before the DLC dropped,&#8221; they wrote. &#8220;Now I&#8217;ve done it again, including all achievements from the new expansion.&#8221; The post included a screenshot gallery hosted on <a href="https://imgur.com/a/100-achievements-diablo-4-dlc-by-verygoodis-evnmjHc">Imgur</a> showing the full list of unlocked achievements.</p>



<p>The player also has achievements to be in Top 100 in Solo and Group rating.</p>

Diablo 4 Player Earns All 660 Achievements And Gets Nothing For It


<p>Here&#8217;s a short and sweet one. We see a player managed to bully a Lair Boss out of their own boss room! </p>



<p>The very Season-7-named <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Electro_Witch/">Electro_Witch</a> had a bit of a quarrel with Harbinger of Hatred. We&#8217;re not quite sure what transpired between the two, but the Druid managed to push out the big wolf. Meanwhile, their own, smaller werewolves looked on! Perhaps Mephisto&#8217;s lesser form was intimidated by the sheer number of pets on display, and decided <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Electro_Witch/">Electro_Witch</a> was actually the Alpha. </p>

<p>This isn&#8217;t an isolated incident either, nor is it related to the Harbinger fight or boos room, as <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/KingLeil/">KingLeil</a> confirms that they managed to do the same to the Beast in Ice. </p>

Who’s the Boss Now? Player Locks Out Boss From Encounter Room


<p>One of the longer-lasting issues with Season 8 has been some players getting a few of their earlier season cosmetic rewards removed. We&#8217;ve seen plenty of reports of various items from previous season&#8217;s Battle Passes and even store-bought cosmetics simply disappearing from the Wardrobe. </p>



<p>One of the affected players, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/ComfortableRelevant1/">ComfortableRelevant1</a>, commented on the matter on the Diablo 4 Reddit recently. That post seems to have gotten some attention, as Blizzard reached out to them and fixed the issue! That&#8217;s not all, however, as they also mentioned that there should be a larger fix coming for everyone affected. </p>

<p>So check your Wardrobes if you had some cosmetics missing, as they may have returned. Otherwise, there may be a larger and officially announced fix in the recently mentioned patch 2.2.2. The patch is also set to bring a fix for the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/infernal-hordes-visual-bug-fixes-coming-in-next-patch/">Infernal Hordes visual progression bugs</a>.</p>


Players Missing Older Season Cosmetics May Have Gotten a Fix


<p>It seems there were more changes than advertised in the latest patch. The <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_004_Varshan" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_004_Varshan" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://wp.icy-veins.com/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_S08Powers_Boss_23.webp" alt="Varshan's Life Steal"><span class="tooltip-name" data-item-quality="rare" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_004_Varshan">Varshan&#8217;s Life Steal</span></span></a>    Boss Power has been nerfed due to causing some pretty serious technical issues. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How It Worked</h2>



<p>While the Boss Power wasn&#8217;t exactly bugged, there were some interactions with certain abilities that were causing problems. Rogues and Spiritborn had a few builds that used the power, getting some very high numbers (200 billion DoTs and similar).</p>



<p>The combo was with another Boss Power, <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_021_Apparition_FleshReaper" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_021_Apparition_FleshReaper" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://wp.icy-veins.com/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_S08Powers_Boss_13.webp" alt="Flesh Reaper's Disruption"><span class="tooltip-name" data-item-quality="magic" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_021_Apparition_FleshReaper">Flesh Reaper&#8217;s Disruption</span></span></a>, which allows you to trigger the Varshan power constantly. This happens with <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-name="Aspect of Accursed Touch" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://wp.icy-veins.com/static/d4/latest/images/aspects/offensive.webp" alt="Aspect of Accursed Touch"><span class="tooltip-spell-name d4-codex-text">Aspect of Accursed Touch</span></span></a>, making everything Vulnerable, and then Flesh Reaper removing that vulnerability to trigger a stun, which counts as &#8220;activating your main boss power&#8221; for Varshan&#8217;s secondary ability. This means that every single time you hit an enemy, Varshan&#8217;s power activates, creating a large Corruption damage over time effect, which stacks. You can imagine the rest with some insane amounts of DoTs stacking over and over. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Nerf </h2>



<p>It seems that these many, many activations caused players&#8217; games to actually crash, while creating a lot of lag for others. This is the main reason the power was nerfed, not its damage potential. The nerf itself was pretty simple, but also pretty devastating. The Varshan boss power now has an internal cooldown. This means it cannot trigger faster than a certain amount, so it doesn&#8217;t cause server and game issues. </p>



<p>It does seem the nerf was warranted, but it is strange Blizzard did not include it in the patch notes. Spiritborn are particularly affected by this, as it was their best build. And considering the class isn&#8217;t doing so well at the moment, it needed the help! </p>
