The item in question? Melted Heart of SeligMelted Heart of Selig! Most players instinctively salvage it, assuming it’s just another source of a Resplendent SparkResplendent Spark. But as Redditor CPMax recently pointed out, that might be a huge mistake, especially if you haven’t killed Lilith yet!

Why This Amulet Matters Against Lilith

Melted Heart of SeligMelted Heart of Selig provides a massive 75% damage reduction, and that’s before any upgrades. In Season 8, where lair bosses have a lot of one-shot mechanics, this amulet can be the difference between another death and a kill!

Instead of optimizing it or worrying about stats, CPMax simply threw the amulet on their rogue and walked straight into Tier 4 Lilith. Despite all the chaos, the player killed her on the first try.

The catch? Your damage will suffer! You will still need to spec defensively elsewhere, like stacking Damage Reduction (DR), running a Life Elixir, and avoid dumb mistakes. But if you’ve been starting at the Season Journey objective all season, this might be the shortcut you’ve been waiting for.

Hardcore Players Already Know!

Another user chimed in to say Melted Heart of SeligMelted Heart of Selig is their go-to survival tool in Hardcore, and it’s easy to see why! Losing a bit of damage pales in comparison to losing your entire char. With 75% DR baked in, this amulet has saved them “dozens of times”.
