In Diablo 4, Uber Lilith is a still one of the toughest boss, and many players want to face her during Season 9. But there is a weird bug that’s been causing trouble since last season (Season 8). When players hit her with too much damage too quickly, she suddenly bugs out and gets locked in her “invincibility frame.” That means she can not be hurt anymore, and the fight can’t be finished. Basically, strong players accidentally “broke” her by dealing damage too fast!
The issue has been widely shared on Reddit:
Why Does This Happen?
The bug happens because the game probably doesn’t really expect you to deal such fast damage bursts on Uber Lilith. Since Lilith automatically goes through her invincibility phase, when you deal too much damage too fast it sort of glitches her out, and she gets stuck in that phase.
This makes the fight frustrating and impossible to complete in the usual way. She will keep looping and not take any damage anymore, and you basically have to leave and retry the full fight, or let her kill you to end the fight.
How to Fix It?
Luckily, players found a couple of workarounds to beat Uber Lilith despite the bug, until Blizzard figures out a proper solution:
- Go up in torment difficulty:
- Higher torment levels reduce the damage you deal automatically. This means you hit her less hard and avoid triggering the bug.
- Fight more carefully:
- Instead of hitting Uber Lilith as fast as possible, slow down your attacks. Take your time and space out your hits so you don’t deal big bursts of damage at once.
It is not a perfect solution, since it means you have to make the fight last longer on purpose, meaning higher risk of dying since you can’t really one shot her. But it’s a workaround in case you need to defeat her, and she keeps bugging out.
You can also keep retrying if you have the patience, but if she bugs multiple times in a row, chances are you need to hit less hard.
