<p>Blizzard have shared some data regarding potential stability problems for players using both DLSS and Overwolf overlays. It seems the combination of the frame generation option and the overlay may cause crashes. So if you have both of those enabled, try disabling one of them, preferably the overlay. </p>

Confirmed: Inarius’ Charger Mount Is Coming in Diablo 4 x WoW Crossover Event


<p>Jez Cordan from Windows Central had the opportunity to sit down with two Lead Diablo 4 Designers Colin Finer and Deric Nunez to talk about where the game is headed, and what still needs work. In their own words, Diablo 4 still has <strong>&#8220;a lot of untapped potential&#8221;</strong>, and Season 8 is part of a broader shift in how the team approaches design and player feedback.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Season 8 Aims to Fix Power Creep and Refocus Boss Battles</h2>



<p>With Belial leading the seasonal chaos, Blizzard says the return of lair bosses in a new form marks a turning point. According to Nunez, the goal for Season 8 was to refine Diablo 4&#8217;s endgame loop by making <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/meet-the-lair-bosses-a-new-chapter-for-diablo-4s-endgame-in-season-8/">lair bosses</a> more central and removing economic blockers to make them more accessible.</p>



<p>&#8220;<em>We want to boost the frequency that players are engaging with bosses</em>,&#8221; said Nunez. &#8220;<em>And raise the challenge while keeping the experience rewarding.</em>&#8220;</p>



<p>Finer said that players had become too powerful in Season 7, diluting the thrill of challenge. By removing material costs and shifting the focus back to boss difficulty, the team hopes to reintroduce a meaningful climb for players in the boss ladder.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Philosophy Shift: Streamlined Loot, Smarter Progression</h2>



<p>Another major focus is loot clarity and purpose. D4&#8217;s devs acknowledged that current itemization leaves players overwhelmed and future updates may include systems that auto-salvage obsolete gear into useful resources or offer reroll chances on better loot. It&#8217;s all part of a move toward smarter progression without clutter.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Meta-Progression and Battle Pass Controversy</h2>



<p>The Reliquary introduced Season 8 has <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-iv-players-outraged-as-season-8-battle-pass-overhaul-offers-less-for-more/">drawn criticism</a> for feeling less rewarding than previous ones. Blizzard says the&#8217;yre listening to feedback and recognize the demand for more meaningful meta-progression.</p>



<p>&#8220;<em>We&#8217;re open to more meta progression,</em>&#8221; Finer noted, citing the ability to carry Paragon levels into Eternal as an early example.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What&#8217;s Next? More Core Focus, and Big Expansion in 2026!</h2>



<p>When asked about D4&#8217;s log-term vision, Finer and Nunez confirmed that feedback is shaping the roadmap. Improvements to Infernal Hordes, Nightmare Dungeons, and Kurast Undercity are all in the pipeline.</p>

Diablo 4 Still Has Untapped Potential,” Say Devs — Big Changes Are Coming


<p>In Diablo 4&#8217;s Season 8, players are reporting bugs tied to <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/infernal-hordes-guide/">Infernal Hordes</a> feature, that&#8217;s currently plagued by frustrating UI bugs that make tracking progress nearly impossible.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Wave Counter Stuck at 0/10</h2>



<p>Reddit user <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Woozletania/">Woozletania</a> recently shared a post highlighting that their Infernal Horde progress is stuck at 0/10 waves throughout the entire run. To make matters worse, the UI failed to show how much Aether they had collected.</p>



<p>&#8220;<em>I couldn&#8217;t tell how far I was into the run or how much Aether I had</em>,&#8221; the player wrote. &#8220;<em>It just felt broken.</em>&#8220;</p>

<p>Another player, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/0Zaidi/">0Zaidi</a>, reported nearly identical problems. Their wave counter also remained stucked at 0, adn they posted gameplay footage to demonstrate the bug. On top of that, they&#8217;ve faced frequent disconnects, despite having on issues with their internet connection.</p>



<p>&#8220;<em>It&#8217;s not my connection. It&#8217;s just bugging out mid-run</em>,&#8221; they noted on Reddit, pointng to what appears to be a recurring server-side or client sync issue.</p>

Diablo 4 Players Are Facing Major Infernal Hordes UI Bugs in Season 8


<p>A new issue with Schnoz, the limited-time pet introduced during the Diablo 4 x Berserk collab, is causing frustration among players.</p>



<p>While Schnoz behaves normally in towns, trotting alongside the player, many players are reporting that whenever they enter a zone, the &#8220;aggro break&#8221; symbol appears and Schnoz runs off without collecting anything.</p>

<p>Diablo 4 has a new weird promotion, and has already sent out 666&#8230; scented candles?!</p>

<p>If you ran into a new download for Diblo 4 today, it wasn&#8217;t just your imagination. There was a new patch, but Blizzard didn&#8217;t mention it specifically as it didn&#8217;t exactly have a lot of features! No, You Didn’t Imagine It: Patch Brings Stability Improvements


<p>The free side of the Berserk collaboration brings several different cosmetics to Diablo 4. However, to get them, you need the Behelit currency, which drops randomly off elites. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Slightly Annoying</h2>



<p>Unlike most other currencies, Behelits behave more like items and do not get picked up automatically. Even your pets won&#8217;t touch them! They also don&#8217;t show up on the minimap like the seasonal currency, and there&#8217;s no beam marking them like for legendaries, making them pretty easy to miss. </p>



<p>These seem like intentional decisions, as Blizzard probably wanted players to realize there&#8217;s an event going on. With auto-pick up, most of us wouldn&#8217;t really have known they even exist as drops or have noticed where they come from. The minimap visibility is a little strange, since Spectral Ash gets its own special seasonal icon when it drops, and it gets auto-loot! </p>



<p>As you can imagine, players aren&#8217;t too happy about this. </p>

<p><br>In the grand scheme of things this isn&#8217;t a huge issue, but it all adds up to player dissatisfaction with the season overall. From the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-iv-players-outraged-as-season-8-battle-pass-overhaul-offers-less-for-more/">Reliquary rework</a> to the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-x-berserk-collab-slammed-over-set-pricing/">Berserk premium cosmetic pricing</a>, lackluster seasonal event and more, Season 8 probably won&#8217;t go down in Diablo 4 history as one of the better ones. Berserk Event Currency Complaints: No Auto-Pickup, Hard to See


<p>The <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-x-berserk-crossover-event-now-live/">Diablo 4 x Berserk crossover</a> has landed, but excitement quickly turned to frustration as players discovered that you&#8217;ll need to pay $150 if purchased in full with Platinum to get all cosmetics.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">No Bundles, Just a Massive Price Tag!</h2>



<p>The Berserk-themed sets are sold individually, and there are no bundles or discounts when you buy everything together. Reddit user <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/HilltopHood/">HilltopHood</a> breaks down the costs:</p>

<p>To get <strong>16,500 Platinum</strong>, players would need to buy the<strong> $149.99 Platinum Bundle</strong>, which gives <strong>15,000 Platinum plus a bonus 3,500</strong>. After buying all 6 sets, you&#8217;d have<strong> 2,000 Platinum</strong> left over, but still be out $150.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cherry on Top: $28 for a Pet</h2>



<p>The Chimimoryo pet, also known as Schnoz, is also for grabs, but it&#8217;ll cost you 2,800 Platinum, or roughly $28 on its own.</p>
