A dedicated D4 player recently took to Reddit to share their long streak of bad luck. After collecting enough Resplendent Sparks to craft 34 Mythic Unique Caches, they decided to test their luck instead of saving them for targeted upgrades.
The results? Mostly disappointing, but with a few small wins worth noting!
Round 1: Off to a Rough Start
The first batch of Mythic Caches gave the player almost nothing of value! Most items did not have the affixes they needed. Only one piece had a Greater Affix, which made the whole round feel like a waste.

Round 2: Slightly Better Luck
After salvaging everything from the first round, they gave it another go. This time, things improved. The player saw:
- 1
Tyrael’s Might with 3 Greater Affixes.
- 1
Heir of Perdition with 2 Greater Affixes.
These were steps in the right direction, but still far from a jackpot!

Round 3: Déjà Vu Hits
Hoping for something better, the player salvaged their loot again to craft more caches. Unfortunately, they received another Tyrael’s Might with 2 Greater Affixes.

Final Round: A Familiar Ending
Gaving it ONE LAST SHOT, they opened their final round of caches. Surprisingly, they got another Tyrael’s Might with 3 Greater Affixes! Despite opening a dozen of caches, the most powerful version with 4 Greater Affixes did not drop.

Bonus Drop from Varshan!
Although the Mythic Cache run didn’t go as planned, the player did receive a Shroud of False Death with 3 Greater Affixes as a drop from Varshan.
