<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What This Means for Season 8 Meta</h2>



<p>The current data shows Sorcerer as the clear front-runner in Pits. While most classes remains fairly balanced, Spiritborn appears to have a hard time to compete in high-tier content in Season 8.</p>

<p>As Diablo 4 continues to evolve, some players are asking: should Blizzard offer additional difficulty options for the main campaign?</p>



<p>Right now, the campaign is locked to <strong>Expert difficulty</strong>. For many, that&#8217;s enough. But a growing number of players say it doesn&#8217;t go far enough, especially for Veterans who want a bigger challenge.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Fix?</h2>



<p>To give the campaign more replay value, players have suggested to up the max difficulty to <strong>Penitent</strong>. It wouldn&#8217;t require major rework either, thanks to Diablo 4&#8217;s existing scaling.</p>

Should Blizzard Add More Campaign Difficulties in Diablo 4?


<p>A new bug has appeared in Diablo 4 Season 8! One player has shared video footage showing their character unexpectedly dying while inside the Pit. But what makes the situation truly strange is what happens next: the player is completely unable to respawn.</p>



<p>Despite repeatedly spamming the respawn button, the character can&#8217;t respawn, and each click inflicts durability damage on their gear.  To play again, the player needs to always leave the game.</p>

Diablo 4 Season 8 Bug Causes Players to Die in the Pit—And They Can’t Respawn


<p>In Diablo 4 Season 8,<span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://wp.icy-veins.com/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_S8_BossPower_Currency_0.webp" alt="Spectral Ash"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Currency" data-item-quality="normal">Spectral Ash</span></a></span> is pilling up quickly for players who are grinding <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/apparition-incursion-guide/">Apparition Incursions</a>. The currency is primarily used for upgrading <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/boss-powers-guide/">Boss Powers</a>, but with many players reaching max upgrades, the currency now sits unused in their inventories!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Community Suggests More Utility</h2>



<p>Reddit user <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Epimolophant/">Epimolophant</a> said: &#8220;I&#8217;ve been farming Incursions mainly for boss mats. I&#8217;ve maxed everything, but ashes just keep piling up.&#8221;</p>

<p>During Season 7, players could use similar currencies to buy gems and other stuff. The current lack of utility in Season 8 has left many asking Blizzard to introduce new sinks for the seasonal currency.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Possible Spectral Ash Sinks?</h2>



<p>There are multiple ways how Blizzard could make it possible for players to get rid of their excess <span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://wp.icy-veins.com/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_S8_BossPower_Currency_0.webp" alt="Spectral Ash"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Currency" data-item-quality="normal">Spectral Ash</span></a></span>! For instance, they could be exchanged for caches.</p>



<p>Hopefully, we&#8217;ll see a sink implemented for the seasonal currency soon.</p>


Diablo 4 Players Call for More Uses for Spectral Ash in Season 8


<p>Blizzard confirmed they&#8217;re still working on the problem with previously purchased Battle Passes not working and players not receiving Platinum compensation for them. </p>



<p>Since the start of Season 8 and the new Reliquary system, players have been reporting not being able to use their old Battle Passes at all. Blizzard stated before the season even began that they&#8217;d need more time to fix the transition, but now we have confirmation that that&#8217;s still not complete. They are tracking player reports on the matter, and have people working on the issue. </p>

Blizzard Update on Missing Old Battle Passes and Replacements


<p>Now that Season 8 is almost a week old, players are getting a whole lot of items. Now sure, it&#8217;s not quite as many as in previous seasons but it&#8217;s still plenty! This is around the time the recently added loadout-saving feature comes quite in handy. We can save <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/tier-lists/">builds</a> and switch between them, having our gear and all skills/paragon points, and the rest instantly swap. Well, most of our build anyway. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Missing Piece</h2>



<p>The Armory was added with Season 7, and players immediately noticed one pretty big thing missing from it. It was not saving seasonal powers. Back then it was Witchcraft that was the non-saved issue. Now here we are in Season 8 and it seems this has not been upgraded/improved, as Boss Powers are not being saved! Now sure, this isn&#8217;t exactly a big problem as it&#8217;s just 4 things to select between the main and supplementary powers. But it&#8217;s an easy thing to miss, at least until the wrong laser starts blasting! </p>

The Armory Does Not Save Boss Powers


<p>Blizzard has started releasing short clips with highlights from the latest Campfire Chat on YouTube.</p>



<p>Yesterday, we&#8217;ve looked at <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-8-adds-whisper-caches-shrine-changes-and-faster-leveling-adjustments/">Whisper Caches, leveling changes, and Shrine updates</a> that went live in Season 8. Today&#8217;s clip deals with skill tree and legendary aspects.</p>

Big Changes Coming to Diablo 4’s Skill Tree and Aspects—Here’s What We Know


<p>Diablo 4&#8217;s Season 8 is in full swing, but some players are raising concerns over what feels like a major nerf to drop rates for <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/runewords-guide/">Legendary Runes</a> and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/mythic-uniques-tier-list-the-best-and-worst-items-in-diablo-4-right-now/">Mythic Uniques</a>.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Players Report Low Legendary Rune Drop Rates</h2>



<p>Reddit user <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/hennyis1/">hennyis1</a> started a thread on Reddit, asking the community about their Legendary Rune drop rates in the ongoing season. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Crafting System Feels Broken</h2>



<p>A separate thread added more weight to the discussion. This one&#8217;s about the crafting system and how broken it feels with the Legendary Rune drop rate nerfs. Crafting Mythic Uniques now feels &#8220;impossible&#8221; due to the requirement of 6 Legendary Runes per craft.</p>

Did Blizzard Nerf Legendary Rune and Mythic Unique Drop Rates in Diablo 4 Season 8?


<p>It&#8217;s time to grab that Resplendent Spark and all the other season reputation rewards quickly! The community has found the fastest way to get to max rep, and are already worried it might get nerfed. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">&#8220;Delete This Post&#8221; Levels of Good</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Krimmarkjell/">Krimmarkjell</a> shared a really fast way to get Season 8 reputation, promptly receiving many comments of &#8220;delete this&#8221; in fear of Blizzard nerfing the method. There&#8217;s nothing too fancy to it either. You will need Infernal Hordes keys, which you can get from Whispers, as well as Helltide Mystery and Steel chests. </p>

<p>They can also drop from Nightmare Dungeons and the Pit.  Once you&#8217;re in a Horde simply select all Aether Lord options, focusing on those that spawn more of them. Each kill gives you a bunch of seasonal reputation, and there&#8217;s plenty of them if you get the spawn option early enough. Aether Lords are classified as bosses, which got their <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-8-hotfixes-may-2nd/">reputation gains buffed in a recent hotfix</a>. That plus the actual bosses at the end equals a whole lot of rep! </p>

<p>Players are reporting already finishing the season reputation. It&#8217;s not impossible that this gets nerfed, so head on over there and get those reputation rewards and spark soon! Blizzard also buffed reputation gains from other sources yesterday as well, so you won&#8217;t need to only grind Hordes to get it done. </p>


The Best and Fastest Way to Farm Season 8 Reputation


<p>This one sounds pretty annoying, as many players are reporting their keybinds getting reset every time they launch the game. Even worse, some players just get any keybind removed entirely, not just the changed ones, having to rebind every time to be able to use the button at all! </p>



<p>There&#8217;s several threads on the Diablo 4 Reddit talking about the issue. The first part of the below thread has been resolved, as R no longer always pops up the Reliquary. The rest is still bugged, with players not being able to use certain keybinds at all unless they set them every single time they start the game. </p>

<p>We can imagine the annoyance as the issues differ from keybind to keybind. Some are losing their unmount bind and just stand there in the middle of a mob pack on their horse as they get beaten to death. Others actually get their evade and core skill attacks/right mouse button removed! </p>
