<p>Diablo 4 is constantly evolving and adding new quality-of-life improvements and changes. Season 8 is around the corner with more upgrades coming, so let&#8217;s talk about one that&#8217;s sorely needed. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">You&#8217;ve Got Mail&#8230; and It&#8217;s ALMOST FULL! </h2>



<p>While it&#8217;s technically not &#8220;mail&#8221;, Diablo 4 does send legendaries/Uniques and boss materials you don&#8217;t pick up to your stash. And while the boss material part will solve itself in Season 8 (well, mostly, there will still be Hoard keys), the items are still a big issue. </p>



<p>The limit to how many things you get sent to the stash is 10 and has been since the start. Considering how dramatically the volume of legendaries and Unique drops has increased, this is no longer enough. The sheer amount of loot left on the ground is extreme pretty much after a few days. After a while players are only looking for Ancestrals and Greater Affixes, leaving a whole lot on the ground. That 10 item limit gets filled up pretty much immediately, and now you have a constantly blinking stash indicator when you&#8217;re in town! </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Filter&#8230; of Loot</h2>



<p>We&#8217;re not going to go into the whole loot filter discussion here, but we have to mention this expanded feature would have to have some filters. Even as it stands now, it&#8217;s ridiculous that it picks up ALL legendaries. Players very quickly get to a point where they don&#8217;t care about non-ancestrals. And after a while, they don&#8217;t really care about non-multi-Grater-Affix ones either! At a minimum, this feature should be changed to only save ancestrals. Then maybe it can even have one or two extra filtering options for later in the game.  </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">More Than Just Items</h2>



<p>While the list of things we&#8217;d rather just get mailed to us is a long one, it&#8217;s a tricky thing to balance. But one thing everyone can agree should go to the stash (possibly in a separate incoming tab) is runes. Now, you already get legendary runes in there, so this would be a simple upgrade. These already aren&#8217;t marked terribly well and are easily missable, so being sure you&#8217;d get them mailed to you would be an amazing improvement. Boss materials are no longer a thing in Season 8, but keys for the endboss hoards are, so those should probably make the list as well. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Functionality Is Already There</h2>



<p>Not that increasing a number from 10 to a bigger one is hard, but we already have a bigger &#8220;mailbox&#8221;! The post-season transfer can hold all the items we might ever need, so why not this as well? </p>

<p>Now, obviously, this shouldn&#8217;t move to players just not picking anything up ever and going back to a giant list of items that dropped. But there is a middle-ground solution that would improve missed drops and still keep the classic Diablo loot feeling alive. Whether that&#8217;s a specific (but larger than what it is now) number, filters, or something else entirely, is unclear. Hopefully Blizzard can come up with a solution, and we lose fewer items to the ground! </p>

<p>Shared in a detailed <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/comments/1js6skz/100000_all_damage_how_to_get_5_million_attack/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Reddit post by u/TechnologyGloom1895</a>, the build showcases just how far you can push conditional and multiplicative damage scaling. However, it also highlights a familiar problem in Diablo 4: Attack power is not always a reliable measure of actual performance.</p>

<p>The thread quickly changed into a wider discussion about Diablo 4&#8217;s misleading attack power stat, and rightfully so. Quite a few players pointed out that most of the scaling behind powerful builds comes from conditional, multiplicative effects, which the attack power number does not always reflect.</p>



<p><strong>&#8220;It’s fun to see big numbers,&#8221; </strong>one player wrote<strong>, &#8220;but it would be even more fun seeing a higher Pit clear.&#8221;</strong></p>



<p>Multiple other players/Reddit users then also jumped into the thread conversation with similar experiences, noting that a lower AP value often outperforms a much higher one, depending on how the build is actually put together.</p>



<p><strong>&#8220;I had 9k AP and was one-shotting bosses while my friend had 45k and was struggling,&#8221;</strong> wrote one commenter.<strong> &#8220;Attack power really is just a number.&#8221;</strong></p>

Diablo 4 Necro Build Hits 100,000% Damage – But Still Falls Short


<p>Blizzard said Season 7 leveling was much faster than they expected. Players were hitting level 80 in just <strong>9 hours on average</strong>, almost half the time it took in Season 6, which was around <strong>15-17 hours</strong>.</p>



<p>The developers now say Season 7 &#8220;missed the mark,&#8221; and leveling felt too rushed. Many players reached max level before really getting into the core content. Because of this, Blizzard is planning <strong>major changes</strong> to the leveling system come Season 8.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What&#8217;s Changing in Season 8?</h2>



<p>In Season 8, leveling <strong>will take longer</strong> again. Blizzard wants to bring back a sense of steady progression, like in Season 6. That means XP gains will be <strong>reduced so that</strong> players won&#8217;t fly through the early levels as quickly.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Unlock the Supreme Belial Fight</h2>



<p>To actually be able to fight the true Belial, you’ll need to complete a few steps first:</p>

<li><strong>Defeat Lesser Belial during his ambushes</strong> &#8211; After defeating bosses from the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-8-belials-apparition-incursions-bring-boss-powers-and-spectral-ash/">Apparition Incursions</a> or <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-8-overhauls-lair-bosses-whats-changing-and-why-it-matters/">Greater Lair bosses</a>, there&#8217;s a chance that <strong>Lesser Belial will ambush you</strong>.</li>



<li><strong>Obtain the Betrayer’s Husk</strong> &#8211; a key item needed to summon the Supreme version.</li>



<li><strong>Use the Key</strong> &#8211; Bring the item to the <strong>Altar of Deceit</strong> in the <strong>Scorched Wastes</strong> to unlock the full encounter.</li>

Supreme Belial Emerges: Season 8 Boss Fight Preview


<p>Blizzard is <strong>making huge changes to Diablo 4&#8217;s battle pass, starting with</strong> <strong>Season 8</strong>. The system is being reworked into something called <strong>&#8220;The Reliquary&#8221;, which is going to provide</strong> <strong>more customization and reward flexibility</strong> based on player feedback. The Reliquary could add new types of rewards, more branching paths, or different ways to earn cosmetics; however, if this is a good change or not remains to be seen. But it is clear that Blizzard is trying to make seasonal progression feel more rewarding and personal.</p>


Diablo 4 Battle Pass Rework Coming Soon


<p>Season 8 of Diablo 4 introduces the new seasonal mechanic <strong>“Boss Powers”</strong>. While we previously covered some of the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/season-8-boss-powers-revealed-how-to-unlock-game-changing-abilities-early/">early-game Powers</a> that will help you while leveling, today we want to take a look at some of the <strong>Torment 1+ Boss Powers</strong>, their strength, and how to unlock them.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Are Boss Powers?</h2>



<p>Boss Powers allow you to absorb the essence of important enemies and use their abilities as your own. There are&nbsp;<strong>24 Boss Powers</strong>&nbsp;available in Season 8, each with two components:&nbsp;</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Main Power:</strong>&nbsp;The core ability, shaping how you play and defining your build.</li>



<li><strong>Modifier Power:</strong>&nbsp;Amplifies and enhances your Main Power, pushing its potential.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

<p>You can have one Main Power and up to three Modifier Powers active at a time, which will create new possibilities for many builds and will help during leveling up all the way to 60.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Boss Powers to Define Your Build</h2>



<p>While all of these are way harder to obtain compared to earlier Powers, these will make your build shine, or even create entirely new ones. There are 11 greater Boss Powers, all obtained from the most dangerous bosses in Sanctuary, including Lilith, Andariel, Duriel,<strong> and more! </strong></p>



<p><strong>Belial&#8217;s Crystal Decoy</strong> (Obtained after defeating &#8220;Baby&#8221; Belial in an ambush)</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Main</strong>: When you Cast an Agility, Defensive, or Macabre skill, spawn a crystal that Taunts enemies and explodes after 3 seconds, dealing 600% Shadow damage.</li>



<li><strong>Modifier</strong>: Activating your Main Boss Power Fears Nearby enemies for 0.75 seconds and deals 50% Shadow damage to them.</li>

<p><strong>Lilith&#8217;s Wind of Hate</strong> (obtained after defeating Lilith)</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Main</strong>: When you Cast a skill, attack enemies with a wave of spikes that lasts 2 seconds and deals 250% Physical damage. Enemies take 60%[x] increased damage from Wind of Hate each time it hits them, up to 300%[x].</li>



<li><strong>Modifier</strong>: Hitting an Elite enemy with a Main Boss Power creates an inert Blister Clone with 10% of their Maximum Life for 15 seconds. Killing the Blister removes 5.25% of the Elite&#8217;s Life. An Elite can have up to 3 Blisters active at once, except for World Bosses.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Duriel&#8217;s Burrow</strong> (obtained after defeating the Greater Lair Boss, Duriel)</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Main</strong>: When you Evade, you now burrow underground, immobilizing surrounding enemies for 5 seconds and dealing 200% on your entry and exit. You deal 200% damage every 0.25 seconds while burrowed. Evade&#8217;s Cooldown is increased by 4 seconds, and Cooldown Reduction on Evade is 50% as effective.</li>



<li><strong>Modifier</strong>: Activating your Main Boss Power grants you 21%[+] increased Dodge chance for 2 seconds. Whenever you Dodge an attack you Immobilize Nearby enemies for 3 seconds.</li>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Maximize Your Boss Powers</h2>



<p>While we only had a short period of time on the PTR to test out all the new mechanics, we already noticed how important it is to optimize your build with the right Boss Powers.</p>



<ol>
<li><strong>Synergize with Your Build:</strong> Choosing the right boss power for your class and build will massively increase your damage.</li>



<li><strong>Stack the Right Multiplier:</strong> Some Boss Powers <strong>scale massively</strong> with secondary effects, so combining the right <strong>Main Power</strong> with a strong <strong>Modifier</strong> is key.</li>



<li><strong>Target Specific Bosses:</strong> Focus on farming bosses early on in T1 to unlock important Boss Powers.</li>



<li><strong>Experiment and Adapt:</strong> Try different combinations to see what works best for your build.&nbsp;</li>
</ol>

Season 8 Endgame Boss Powers And How to Unlock Them


<p>With Season 8, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/">Diablo 4</a> finally introduces one of the last remaining Lesser Evils—<strong>Belial—</strong>leaving only <strong>Azmodan</strong> to return to Sanctuary<strong>. </strong>Unlike the supreme form we saw in Diablo 3, “Baby&#8221; Belial is a <strong>fragment of the Lord of Lies</strong> himself and gives us a whole new fight! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">When Does &#8220;Baby&#8221; Belial Spawn?</h2>



<p>Defeating bosses in Season 8 will have a chance to <strong>trigger an attack of Belial</strong>, which provides double the loot of the boss you&#8217;re fighting.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What to Expect from the Fight?</h2>

“Baby” Belial Arrives in Diablo 4: Season 8 Boss Fight Preview


<p>With <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> Season 8 just around the corner, many players are once again asking the same thing: Where is the 2025 roadmap?</p>



<p>We covered this topic earlier this year when Blizzard hinted at a more transparent year-long plan. Now that we are already in the middle of April, the community is expecting an official reveal any day, likely just ahead of <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-8-global-launch-times-revealed/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season 8&#8217;s launch on April 29</a>.</p>



<p>If it follows last year&#8217;s format, the roadmap should give a broad look at seasonal content, events, quality-of-life updates, and, if we are lucky, some expansion teases.</p>



<p><strong>Here is what the community is hoping to see most:</strong></p>



<ul>
<li>A big mid-year event to help break seasonal fatigue</li>



<li>New endgame content to add more variety at high levels</li>



<li>Clan or group system improvements</li>



<li>Updates on the next expansion, even if it is only planned for 2026</li>



<li>More freedom with transmog and cosmetics</li>
</ul>



<p>Across Reddit and the forums, a lot of players have been asking for more long-term direction and bigger innovations between seasons.</p>



<p><strong>&#8220;A proper roadmap would help us know where the game is going and if Blizzard is really listening.&#8221;</strong> </p>



<p>There is still time for Blizzard to set the tone for the rest of 2025. With Season 8 looking to be a <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-iv-season-8-will-be-harder-here-is-whats-changing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">big step forward in terms of difficulty</a> and polish, a strong roadmap could be exactly what we, the players, need to get excited again.</p>

Diablo 4 Roadmap Update Expected Soon – What Players Want Next


<p>When Blizzard announced the comeback of Belial, the Lord of Lies, as the new pinnacle boss, players were really excited about a new boss fight, new mechanics and of course–new loot. </p>



<p>As it turns out, though, <strong>Belial doesn’t have his own unique loot table</strong>.<br><br>Instead, players are given the ability to select the loot table of another Lair Boss after defeating him, which feels underwhelming and even highlights some other problems with the new boss loot system. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Illusion of Choice</h2>



<p>While the system is meant to offer flexibility, it shows some deeper issues: <strong>some boss loot tables are identical</strong>. For example, Duriel, Mephisto, and Andariel all share the same MythicUnique loot pool, so the choice between them becomes meaningless.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Thematic Missed Opportunity</h2>



<p>Belial is the Lord of Lies and items built around that theme would have been a perfect match for Season 8. Here are some small ideas the community came up with:</p>



<ul>
<li>Items with randomized affixes that might even change mid-fight, similar to the “Aspect of Elements”.</li>



<li>More Uniques that gives the player the ability to stealth, resulting in additional effects when entering a fight.</li>



<li>Legendary Aspects or Uniques inspired by Diablo 3, reimagined to fit the current loot system.</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Great Fight, Forgettable Rewards</h2>



<p>Belial&#8217;s return in Season 8 is visually and mechanically a good addition to the game. But with no items to chase, and fights like Duriel being easier for the same rewards, he risks becoming an irrelevant boss for now.</p>
