Will You Reach Torment IV in Season 8? It Might Be Easier Than You Think!

As we have recently covered, Blizzard is aiming to increase the difficulty and slow down the game. However, as MacroBioBio now showcases, it doesn’t seem to be as bad as everyone initially thought to reach and be ready for Torment IV.

Can You Reach it on a Budget?

In his Video he took on a Tier 60 Rift. That is five levels above Torment IV’s difficulty, using a budget Summoner Necromancer build. This run proved that it is possible to reach Torment IV for all players, regardless of the build they are using.

Here is what he used on his Necromancer to showcase it

  • Only one Mythic Weapon “The Grandfather”
  • Suboptimal Gear overall
  • Every Item had one Greater Affix
  • Paragon Level 225
  • No Masterworks, Glyphs and Gems
  • No Boss Powers were used

Even though the Summoner Necromancer is known to be one of the strongest classes for leveling, this should be achievable with any class. Without using any Boss Powers, the new mechanic for Season 8, this shows that getting to and playing Torment 4 really shouldn’t be too difficult.

The Real Issue: Better Player Education

With the game being too easy most of the time, players struggled to understand various gameplay mechanics, such as how multipliers work. Blizzard should do a better job of clearly explaining interactions between certain skills and stats. This was there will be less confusion for players if they are struggling to progress further.

Without guides, most players wouldn’t be able to create a working build, leading to even more frustration. This snowballs into a lack of understanding of what has to change to progress any further. Now that Diablo IV is tuned to be more challenging during its endgame, this should be one of their goals to fix in the future.
