Season ChecklistNew With Season 10
The Season of Infernal Chaos features a new questline, new Chaos Perks and Chaos Amor, as well as Chaos Rifts and changes to Infernal Hordes, of course with a new set of Reliquaries.
Seasonal Questline: Sands of Chaos

After dark events in Ked Bardu, you join the assassin Shyan of the Viz-Jaq’taar, an order sworn to hunt demon-corrupted mages. Together you uncover the rise of new Chaos Rifts, a plot tied to the Fell Council, and the return of Bartuc, Lord of Chaos, under Mephisto’s shadow.
To begin the Sands of Chaos seasonal questline:
- Complete the main campaign of Diablo IV.
- Create a new character in the Seasonal Realm.
- Head to Ked Bardu in the Seasonal Realm and speak with the distraught villager.
Completing the questline will help you gather the seasonal currency Infernal Warp, reputation, and unlock the reputation track rewards.
Chaos Rifts

Strange portals of energy have appeared across Sanctuary, unleashing demons from the Burning Hells. Chaos Rifts spawn in Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons, rewarding Infernal Warp, seasonal reputation, loot, and Chaos Armor. Rare Mythic Chaos Rifts appear in Torment and will reward you with Chaos Armor.
Chaos also infects Nightmare Dungeons, spawning rifts filled with monsters and offering Fleeting Hordes Compasses.

Chaos RiftsChaos Perks

Chaos has arrived in Sanctuary, giving your abilities new effects. Chaos Perks change how your skills work, with four rarities: Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique. Magic, Rare, and Legendary Perks boost skills, while Unique Perks can change your whole build. You can equip three non-Unique Perks and one Unique, including class-specific ones. These is a total of 16 choices per class.
Unlock Perks through the Seasonal Reputation board, defeat Bartuc in Torment I or higher for Unique Perks, and upgrade them with Infernal Warp, the seasonal currency.
Check out the complete Chaos Perks guide here:
Chaos PerksChaos Armor

Chaos Armor is a new type of Unique item that gives existing Uniques a stronger, twisted version in different item slots. They can appear on Helm, Chest, Gloves, Pants, and Boots, but never in their original slot. Chaos Armor comes with more powerful affixes, always at maximum roll with an additional 20% on top, and includes at least one Greater Affix. You cannot equip the same Unique as both a Chaos Armor and a standard Unique. However, Chaos Armor is offering new ways to build and boost your damage.

Chaos ArmorInfernal Hordes and Bartuc

Bartuc’s return has intensified the Infernal Hordes, introducing Chaos Waves, and new ways to challenge players. Chaos Waves randomly transform standard waves into chaotic, high-difficulty encounters. These waves vary from dodging projectiles to hunting erratic Aether Goblins, rewarding far more Aether for those who survive.
Infernal Offerings have been rebalanced. For early-level players, Fleeting Hordes offer a shorter four-wave version with limited offerings and two Fell Council members at the end, letting you earn Aether and rewards before tackling Torment difficulty.
Infernal Hordes Guide
At the end of a run, you can face the Fell Council or take on Bartuc, Lord of Chaos for the chance to receive Chaos Armor.

Seasonal Tips & Tricks
Diablo 4: Season 10, the Season of Infernal Chaos, introduces Infernal Hordes upgrades as well as Chaos Rifts, Perks and Armor, giving you the opportunity to improve and vary your builds and gameplay. If you are a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the game, here are a few tips and tricks to help you make the most of this season.
- Chaos Perks and Chaos Armor: Make sure to check out your build guides and refer to the best Chaors Perks for your main skill, as well as the Chaos Amor that will fit and synergize with your gameplay.
- Infernal Hordes: Run through the rebalanced Infernal Hordes and start with Fleeting Hordes while leveling. In torment difficulty, make sure to trigger the special Chaos Waves to gain more Aether and end your run with fighting Bartuc to unlock your class’ Unique Chaos Perk and the chance to win Chaos Armor.
- Nightmare Dungeons: Run dungeons, and pay attention to Chaos Rifts and Strongroom portals. Complete the challenges to get the rewards, and potentially an Escalating Sigil. Escalating Nightmares is a great way to challenge yourself in endgame on the torment difficulty of your choice.

- Lair Bosses: Once you are max level, increase your difficulty to Torment and fight the Lair Bosses. They will reward you with Unique loot to complete your builds, and seasonal currency to use to upgrade your seasonal power.
- Infernal Hordes and The Pit are excellent replayable endgame content for greater gear and Masterworking materials.
- As with the previous seasons, it is likely that several builds will emerge as strong contenders for Season 10, each excelling in specific areas. Check out our respective Tier Lists for a closer look at which builds are exceptionally strong this time around.
