Build Introduction

This meta Necromancer build allows to control not one, but three Golem (Blood)Golems with the power of the Gravebloom unique mace. It features high survivability, mostly Unstoppable state and focused area damage from Golem (Blood)Golems (Blood) ability spam. High performance comes at the cost of slower gameplay and need for “setup” skill rotation in the endgame.

  • Bolded affixes are the most important targets for Masterworking upgrade. If multiple affixes marked – any selected is acceptable for case by case gear.

Below you’ll find expected character stats to start engaging endgame content:

  • Golem Active Cooldown Reduction as much as possible
  • Attack Speed slightly above 40%, 60%, 80% or 100% (not reaching +20% increments irrelevant)
  • Critical Strike Chance at or near 100% with Corpse TendrilsCorpse Tendrils Aspect of Grasping VeinsAspect of Grasping Veins.

Best in slot Mythic Unique Helmet for most Necromancer builds. Provides significant damage multiplier, massive amount of Critical Strike Chance, Lucky Hit to improve Cooldown Reduction engine and extra mobility. Requires to switch from Aspect of the Cursed AuraAspect of the Cursed Aura to IgniIgni WatWat runeword to maintain auto-curse, see here how. Season of Divine Intervention (Season 11)

Season 11 of Divine Intervention introduces very few very limited borrowed powers, but allows you to adjust the difficulty-to-reward ratio of certain content types and introduces new crafting mechanic, Sanctification.

Divine Gifts

Corrupted gift slots grant increased specific content rewards, but increases difficulty of associated content – therefore should be activated only for target farming, when character can handle it.

Recommended Purified Divine Gifts for the build:

  • Essence of Shadows – Briefly become Unstoppable when Crowd Controlled every 12 seconds.
  • Essence of Screams – Gain 20%[+] increased Resistance.
  • Essence of Sin – Gain 20%[+] increased Armor.
  • Essence of Pain – Briefly gain maximum Barrier after becoming Injured, every 20 seconds.

Rotation and Build Mechanics

This is build is designed around chain casting Golem (Blood)Golem (Blood) ability by Golem (Blood)Golem trio, summoned by Gravebloom.

Rotation and Playstyle

  1. Initiate fight by sending Golem (Blood)Golem (Blood) with Active Ability into the enemy pack, acquiring Unstoppable state from Aspect of the Unholy TetherAspect of the Unholy Tether.
  2. Approach the pack to trigger Aspect of the Cursed AuraAspect of the Cursed Aura or IgniIgni WatWat runeword when SoulriftSoulrift used.
  3. Activate and recast SoulriftSoulrift on cooldown.
  4. If no Corpses available, produce one with Acolyte's ReapAcolyte’s Reap.
  5. Use Corpse TendrilsCorpse Tendrils and lock in as many enemies as possible with Bone PrisonBone Prison.
  6. If essence available, throw couple BlightBlights inside Bone PrisonBone Prison and enemy groups to increase damage and proc Lucky Hit Abhorrent DecrepifyAbhorrent Decrepify for Cooldown Reduction Engine.
  7. Make few ReapReap swings to get Enhanced ReapEnhanced Reap and Damage Reduction buffs
  8. Focus fire enemy groups with Golem (Blood)Golem (Blood) ability non-stop, which will keep refreshing Unstoppable aswell.

Cooldown Reduction Engine

Cooldown Reduction engine is a set of abilities, upgrades and buffs that reduce active cooldowns by fulfilling certain conditions. This build rely on Lucky Hit against cursed by Abhorrent DecrepifyAbhorrent Decrepify, which is automatically applied by Aspect of the Cursed AuraAspect of the Cursed Aura or IgniIgni WatWat runeword.

Which Elixirs Should You Use?

Visit the Alchemist and craft an Elixir providing any Resistance you need most, Elixir of Precision IIElixir of Precision II, if you lack Critical Strike Chance, or the Elixir of Fortitude IIElixir of Fortitude II to increase overall Toughness. Recommended incenses are Reddamine BuzzReddamine Buzz, Soothing SpicesSoothing Spices, Sage's WhisperSage’s Whisper. Make sure to keep your Health Potion upgraded!
