Class Tier Lists
This Class Tier List is a ranking system used to evaluate the different classes in Diablo 4 based on their power, effectiveness, and versatility during Leveling, as well as for Endgame content such as pushing Nightmare Dungeons, The Pit, Infernal Hordes, Kurast Undercity in higher Torment difficulty tiers, or Speed Farming Helltides and lower/mid difficulty versions of these game modes. The higher the Tier, the more desirable and powerful the class is considered to be overall. We will rank classes in the game based on how well they perform and how useful they are in the different game modes and situations, to help players understand which classes are currently considered to be the strongest and most effective.

This build tier list is not final and will be updated as necessary based on the meta’s evolution during the season.
Please also note that the rankings for the Boss Killer, Speed Farming, and Endgame Push lists are based on a max Level (60) character with multiple Paragon boards unlocked, so lower level characters will be weaker regardless of the class, but the relative rankings should not differ much at lower levels.
The class tier lists are up to date as of October 22nd, 2024, and account for all the balance patches since Diablo 4 was launched (including seasons).
Class Overview
Barbarian
The Barbarian is a melee class that is tanky and mobile, with the ability to deal good close-range damage and bleed effects. This class can equip multiple weapons and assign them to different skills, making them a formidable foe. Their only weakness is their short range and slower playstyle compared to certain classes.
Druid
The Druid is a shapeshifter who can transform into a Werewolf or Werebear for melee combat or summon animal companions and nature spells to aid in battle. Druids can also wield earth and storm magic to deal damage or support their allies. They have high durability and damage potential but require a balance between different forms and skills.
Necromancer
The Necromancer is a dark spellcaster who can raise the dead or curse enemies, with the ability to use bone or blood magic to deal damage or heal themselves. Necromancers have high damage output, resource regeneration capabilities, and can control horrifying minions to do their bidding.
Rogue
The Rogue is a versatile fighter who can deal damage from a distance with Bows or up close with Daggers. This class also has access to traps and poisons to weaken enemies, as well as stealth and evasion to avoid them. Rogues are highly mobile and can deal a lot of damage either up close or from a distance.
Sorceress
The Sorceress is a powerful spellcaster who specializes in elemental magic, with the ability to unleash devastating spells that deal high burst damage and control the battlefield with crowd control effects. Additionally, this class also has great defensive abilities for protection and mobility skills to escape dangerous situations.
Spiritborn
The Spiritborn is a dexterity-based martial artist deeply connected to spiritual forces, using Vigor as their primary resource. They summon Spirit Guardians, each offering unique effects, to aid them in battle, while their fast-paced, aggressive gameplay revolves around a builder/spender system. With a wide range of customizable abilities, Spiritborns adapt to any situation. Wielding weapons like Quarterstaves and Glaives, they introduce versatile playstyles from melee, to range damage, to tanking.
