Season ChecklistNew with Season 7
The Season of Witchcraft features a new questline, new witch powers, headhunts, as well as the much-requested Armory.
Seasonal Questline: Ally with the Coven
Join forces with the Witches of Hawezar, a Coven tied to the swamp’s deep magic and protectors of the Tree of Whispers. The Tree’s captive Heads have gone missing, roaming Sanctuary in search of bodies to reclaim their power.
Summoned by the Coven, you will start a new questline to uncover the mystery of the missing Heads and reveal the one behind it all. Along the way, you will unlock the secrets of Witchcraft Powers, gaining new abilities.
Begin the questline by visiting Gea Kul and speaking with Gelena, the Witch of the Coven. Help return the Heads to the Tree, and earn the new reputation board rewards.
Completing the reputation board will reward you with a much coveted Resplendent Spark, which can be of great use if you plan on crafting a Mythic Unique.
Witchcraft Powers
Season 7 introduces Witchcraft, a new feature that allows you to equip six Witch Powers: five normal powers and one unique power. These abilities draw from the dark magic of Hawezar and can reshape your character builds, working similarly to Vampiric Powers from season 2.
You will find 25 Witch Powers in total, divided into three main schools of power, with a few rare and extremely strong “Lost Powers” available.
To access Witchcraft, you will need Restless Rot, the seasonal currency. Offer it at specific Altars near the Tree of Whispers to unlock powers. Not all six Witchcraft slots are available immediately. You will unlock more slots by earning Tiers on the Coven’s Favor reputation board. Gain reputation points by defeating enemies and completing challenges, then exchange them at the Coven for rewards.

Witchcraft GuideHeadhunts
Headhunts bring special zones across Sanctuary, like Helltides, where you hunt Witchcraft-infused enemies. Your goal is to gather Fugitive Heads and bring them back to the Tree of Whispers. These areas have unique whispers and rewards connected to Witchcraft Powers. They are also the main way to collect Restless Rot, which you need to improve your Witchcraft Powers and craft Occult Gems.
In these zones, fight enemies, break open cocoons, and try to find one of two rare bosses for greater rewards.
Headhunts GuideOccult Gems
Occult Gems are a new type of Gem to socket in your jewelry Gem slots, taking the place of your usual Gems. All Occult Gems come with fixed bonuses: 160 Armor and 8% All Resistance. This lets you use them without losing any defensive stats from the usual gems (Skulls or Diamonds) you would normally socket.
These Gems are designed to work closely with your Witchcraft Powers, boosting your damage or defense against enemies. They play a key role in Season 7 builds, so do not overlook them in your endgame setup!
Occult Gems GuideArmory
The long-awaited Armory has finally arrived in Diablo 4! This feature lets you create and save up to 5 loadouts, including your equipment, skills, class specialization, and paragon boards, making it easier than ever to switch between builds.
Armory OverviewNew Uniques and Aspects
Season 7 also brings new Uniques and Aspects. This gives you a great opportunity to test new builds and find new synergies. Especially now that you can easily swap loadouts with the Armory. Please check our guide to see all the new items here:
