New With Season 14
With a new season comes new content, with the biggest reveal being the eagerly awaited Solo Self-Found Mode. Beyond the new playable mode, Realmwalkers make a return, Deathtoll Chambers are a new seasonal dungeon, a new Seasonal Lair Boss, Tower and Leaderboard Rewards, and additional updates to current systems.
Pandemonium Ruptures

These Ruptures act as a new open-world event players can partake in, with the goal being to keep the portal active for as long as possible. Killing monsters and staying within the event circle keeps the event active, the longer you’re able to maintain the ritual, the larger the rewards, with a chance to summon a boss upon completion or even the returning Realmwalkers.
Pandemonium Ruptures come in three forms, which we’ve gone ahead and listed below.
- Normal Ruptures
- Small Ruptures that can spawn anywhere, but mostly in Helltide.
- Surging Ruptures (Medium)
- These have a chance to spawn in place of any event during Helltide.
- Colossal Ruptures
- These spawn exclusively at the world boss arena in Zarbinzet, the Fields of Desecration.
All of these will feature a new enemy family, The Risen.
Realmwalkers

First seen in Season 6, Realmwalkers are making their entrance once more to collaborate with Pandamonium Ruptures. These hulking giants require the player to follow them for a specific duration, killing monsters in a sort of escort event, until eventually defeating them outright.
Depending on the tier of Pandamonium Rupture defeated, Realmwalkers have a fixed chance to spawn.
- Ruptures (Normal)
- These cannot summon Realmwalkers.
- Surging Ruptures (Medium)
- Has a chance to spawn a Realmwalker after successful completion of the Rupture event.
- Colossal Ruptures (World Boss Version)
- Guaranteed chance upon successful completion of the Rupture event.
And if that wasn’t enough, after defeating the Realmwalkers, a portal to the new seasonal dungeon, Deathtoll Chamber, will open.
Deathtoll Chamber

These new Seasonal Dungeons act as a mini-dungeon rather than a massive sprawling area, requiring the player to rapidly defeat enemies before receiving their reward.
Deathtoll Chambers will also be the best source for Betrayer’s Husks, which the new Seasonal Lair Boss’s Hoard requires to open.
Players may enter these dungeons after defeating a Riftwalker, or by running a Nightmare Dungeon with the new Rupture Affix, which will require closing Ruptures as you clear the key.
New Enemy Type: The Risen

What’s the Diablo franchise without new fancy monsters to slaughter? Gravehounds, as they’re called, have a unique mechanic where, upon death, orbs will spawn that slowly travel towards the leader of the pact, Exarchs. Instead of being something to avoid, these orbs can be intercepted by the player to receive the power bonus for themselves.
New Seasonal Lair Boss
Located in Zarbinzet, the Corrupted Reaper Lair Boss lurks within the Pandemonium Threshhold’s entrance. Players are required to be in T1+ to challenge the new foe.

Opening the Lair Bosses Hoard requires a
Betrayer’s Husk.
Mythic Uniques 3.0
Mythics are being updated once more. Instead of being an item rarity, Mythics are becoming a modifiable Item Quality. Any Unique moving forward will have the chance to be a Mythic.
Mythic Uniques will have their power increased by 30%.
Former Mythics, such as
The Grandfather will still remain in the game; however, their power has been substantially reduced. As well, their affixes are randomized the same way current Unique functions with only one stat being guaranteed.

Luckily, Uniques and Mythic Uniques can be modified through the Horadric Cube now. There’s also a new option to upgrade regular Uniques to a Mythic, however, players may only equip 1 crafted Mythic at a time. Dropped Mythics that are naturally found can have any number of them equipped.

There are a number of ways to find these new versions of Mythic items.
- The new seasonal currency is a crafting component for the new Horadric Cube recipe to upgrade a regular Unique into a Mythic.
- Season Rank rewards a class-specific Mythic Unique.
- Defeating the Seasonal Lair Boss.
- Anywhere that drops Ancestral Items has a small chance to drop Mythic Uniques.
Tower and Leaderboard Rewards
Cosmetics are being added as rewards for the Tower and Leaderboard systems, with your rank determining what reward you’ll receive.

Rewards are given after each Leaderboard reset, and at the end of each season. Weekly rewards are also granted to players after the weekly reset.
The rankings listed below are given rewards each week for competing in any leaderboard.
- Progression:
- Played the Tower this week
- Completed Tower Tier 100 or Higher
- Ranks:
- Top 1,000
- Top 500
- Top 100
- Top 10
- Top 1
Rewards:
- Halo Cosmetic Item
- Prestige Title
- Gear Cache
- Higher ranks reward more items with a higher chance for the rarest of items.
At the start of a new season, you’ll also receive an Emblem that shows the highest rank you achieved on any weekly leaderboard in the previous season.
Solo Self-Found Mode
Finally, the long-awaited feature – SSF Mode – is coming to Diablo IV. This mode makes players entirely reliant on themselves by disabling features such as Trading and Grouping.

This mode evens the playing field by eliminating competition from players purchasing gear from others, making it heavily more reliant on the player’s skill, and the ideal mode for any solo players who wish to realistically compete with leaderboard rankings, as SSF players are kept in their own separate section.
Solo Self-Found is available for both Normal and Hardcore realms.
